General terms and conditions - Lux Lights

These Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements made or concluded with Lux Lights. By placing an order, you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.


Article 1 – Definitions

In these general terms and conditions the following terms are understood to mean:

  • Entrepreneur: Lux Lights, supplier of mood lighting, decorative lighting and related products.

  • Consumer: the natural person who does not act in the exercise of a profession or business and who enters into an agreement with Lux Lights via the website.

  • Products: all items offered by Lux Lights, such as mood lighting, luminous decoration, accessories, adapters and LED products.

  • Agreement: a distance contract between Lux Lights and the consumer, concluded via the webshop.

  • Right of withdrawal: the consumer's option to cancel the agreement within 14 days of receipt.

  • Insured shipping: optional shipping method where the order is insured against loss, damage or theft up to an amount of €500.


Article 2 – Applicability (amended)

  1. These general terms and conditions apply to every offer from Lux Lights and to every distance contract concluded between Lux Lights and the consumer.

  2. By placing an order via the website, the consumer declares that he or she has read and agrees to these conditions.

  3. Lux Lights only supplies to consumers (B2C) via the webshop.
    Businesses cannot order directly through the website. Business orders are only accepted upon request and are only valid after a separate quote or agreement has been issued and confirmed by email. A minimum order amount usually applies, depending on the nature of the order.

  4. Business orders may be subject to different terms and conditions, such as delivery times, prices, warranties, and payment terms. These are always recorded in writing.

  5. Deviations from these conditions are only valid if confirmed in writing by Lux Lights.


Article 3 – The offer

  1. Lux Lights takes the utmost care to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the products, prices and information offered.

  2. Obvious mistakes, typographical errors or pricing errors in the offer do not bind Lux Lights.

  3. Product images are as accurate as possible, but may vary slightly from reality due to screen settings or product improvements.

  4. For products with limited availability (e.g. seasonal items) this is clearly stated.


Article 4 – Conclusion of the agreement

  1. The agreement is concluded as soon as the consumer has completed the ordering process via the webshop and payment has been received.

  2. Lux Lights reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders for:

    • suspicion of fraud or abuse;

    • incorrect customer data;

    • insufficient stock;

    • payment problems.

  3. After completion, the consumer will receive an order confirmation with order number by email.


Article 5 – Prices and payment

  1. All prices are stated in euros and include VAT .

  2. Payment is made via the offered payment methods (such as iDEAL, credit card, PayPal).

  3. Lux Lights may change prices, but price changes will not affect orders already placed.

  4. The consumer is responsible for correctly entering payment details.


Article 6 – Delivery and shipment

  1. Lux Lights processes orders Monday through Friday within 24 hours.

  2. The average delivery time is 3–5 business days , unless otherwise stated.

  3. Shipping is mainly via PostNL , DHL and DPD .

  4. Consumers automatically receive a Track & Trace code by email.

  5. Consumers can opt for insured shipping (€2.95), which insures the package up to €500 against loss, theft or damage.

  6. Lux Lights is not liable for delays or errors caused by the carrier.

  7. If a package is lost, Lux Lights will initiate an investigation with the carrier. If the shipment is insured, the consumer will receive a replacement or refund free of charge.


Article 7 – Right of withdrawal and returns

  1. The consumer has the right to cancel the agreement within 14 days after receipt without giving any reason.

  2. Returns must be registered within this period via info@lux-lights.nl .

  3. After registering, the consumer will receive the return address and a return form . Returns without a return form cannot be processed.

  4. Products must be unused, undamaged and complete, preferably in the original packaging.

  5. Return costs are the responsibility of the consumer, unless:

    • the product is defective or incorrectly delivered, or

    • Lux Lights made a mistake.

  6. Products that have been custom-made or whose seal has been broken for hygienic reasons cannot be returned.

  7. Products purchased during special promotions (such as Black Friday, sales, or outlet) cannot be refunded, but can be exchanged or converted into store credit.

  8. Refunds will be made within 14 days after receipt and inspection of the return shipment.


Article 8 – Warranty and conformity

  1. All products are covered by the statutory warranty . This means that a product must meet the reasonable expectations a consumer may have of it.

  2. Lux Lights also offers a 1- year manufacturer's warranty on fixtures, adapters, and drivers, unless stated otherwise.

  3. Warranty does not apply to:

    • incorrect or careless use;

    • damage due to incorrect installation or incorrect voltage/dimmer use;

    • use of indoor products (IP20) in outdoor conditions;

    • normal wear and tear or user damage.

  4. In case of a defect, the consumer can contact us via info@lux-lights.nl Lux Lights will then offer a suitable solution: repair, replacement, or refund.


Article 9 – Liability

  1. Lux Lights is not liable for damage caused by improper use, incorrect installation, or failure to follow the instructions.

  2. Lux Lights' liability is at all times limited to the purchase amount of the product in question.

  3. Lux Lights is not liable for consequential damage, indirect damage or loss of data.


Article 10 – Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights relating to the products, texts, photos, designs, logos, and other content on the Lux Lights website remain the property of Lux Lights and/or its suppliers. Copying, distributing, or using material from the website without written permission is prohibited.


Article 11 – Privacy

Lux Lights processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) . Please see our separate Privacy Policy for more information. , which describes what data we collect, how we use it and how we protect it.


Article 12 – Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure (such as strikes, transport disruptions, natural disasters, pandemics, government measures, or technical failures), Lux Lights is not obligated to fulfill its obligations. If the force majeure lasts longer than 30 days, both parties have the right to terminate the agreement without compensation.


Article 13 – Complaints procedure

  1. Complaints about products or the performance of the agreement can be reported within a reasonable period via info@lux-lights.nl .

  2. Lux Lights aims to provide a substantive response or solution within 14 days .


Article 14 – Applicable law

Dutch law applies to all agreements and disputes between Lux Lights and the consumer.
